Is this smoke?

During fire season the dominant pollutant on these monitors is almost always PM2.5 — fine particulate from smoke. Orange/red/purple readings driven by PM2.5 mean smoke is reaching the surface. If the sky looks hazy but the nearest monitor is still green, file a citizen report — that's the early signal this network is built to catch.
